How to 3D print your brain from an MRI scan

- Download Slicer
- Install the Swiss Skull Stripper extension
- Import your DICOM files (use T1 sequence for best results)
- Go to Segmentation > Swiss Skull Stripper, select your sequence as input patient volume, select New for output patient volume and Patient mask label, hit apply
- Go to Segment Editor, select Add and Show 3D, set Automatic threshold to Moments, hit apply
- Select Islands > Remove small islands, min. size 1000 voxels
- Select Smoothing: Smooth Closing with 3mm and Median with 1mm
- Export to files, RAS, scale 1
